Needle felted Fox wire haired terrier perched playfully on top of found objects including a painted wooden ball, large nut and antique top play toy.

Needle felting is done by wrapping wool around a wire frame and securing it with a single barbed needle. The process is slow as layers are added until the desired shape is achieved. Finally colors and details are added to finish.

The dog’s personality emerges as the form takes shape and the idea for a vignette presents itself. Dogs are an endless source of joy and happiness and I delight in each one of a kind furry friend.
